About
The world of social media has the very real potential to be a blessing or a curse; to be encouraging or crippling; to be motivating or paralyzing; a way to identify with people or a way to isolate you from them. The purpose for this blog is to be a place of authenticity, lack of judgement and a place to be spurred on to live in courage and to be encouraged.
My name is Lindsay Walder. I am a young woman with an old, deep, well-of-a-soul.
I am married to a man who brings out the best in me.
I am the adoptive mama to Mr. Martell Gabriel Walder as of July 15th, 2016. He is smart and kind and so tender. His silly sense of humor, his gentle heart, and his wide smile make him pretty loved by most people he comes in contact with.
I am the mom to our sweet and spicy little toddler, Esmae Diane Walder, who somehow steals the heart of every human she comes in contact with. She is strong-willed and believes she knows best most of the time, but she’s funny and affectionate and sweet all mixed in one.
I have been the temporary mom to kids without all that they need.
I am the daughter to a mom taken too soon by cancer.
I believe that when one offers vulnerability, it brings others to share vulnerably in return. Being seen is how we connect, and we are made to be seen and known. I desire to deeply and richly love Jesus, and He is the reason I’ve started this blog. I live a life of ordinary obedience to Him. I believe He may be alive in my words, and can bring life to the souls of my fellow sojourners by using me to spill out thoughts and prayers and everyday things onto the pages of this blog. Well, at least I deeply hope He will.
I look forward to doing life with you, whoever you are.
-Lindsay
